In a bid to enhance security and safety, the Chairman of Aniocha North Local Government Area, Hon. Emma Chinye has donated two new Sienna Vehicles for Police Patrol in the two Police formations in Aniocha North Divisional headquarters.
The Aniocha North Local Government Area has two divisional Police formations identified as Issele-Uku Division and Onicha Olona Division with two distinct Chief Super-Intendent of Police as DPOs respectively.
The council boss recently has also established a military formation of 63 Brigade in Issele-Uku metropolis as well as enhancing the activities of both vigilante and anti-cult units, with the initiative to fight incessant crime in the area.
Hon. Chinye who disclosed the aim was to ex-communicate criminal elements out of the area with every resource at his disposal, urged the security formations to complement the efforts of the government by sanitizing the area and deliver effective policing.
The Chairman who frowned at the recent spate of kidnappings, burglaries, rapes, and other murder related cases that is becoming prevalent in Issele-Uku and its environs, noted that, his administration is committed to providing a crime-free society in the metropolis.
While urging the police to treat every intelligent report with outmost confidentiality, he urged members of the public to form the habit of reporting suspected crimes to the police, adding that when the public gives information, it will make security work easier and ensure people’s safety.
In his response, CSP Ibiok, of Issele-Uku Division commended the Chairman alongside CSP Ayo Joseph, promising to put the two vehicles to effective crime fighting and ensuring that criminal elements were fished out and prosecuted.
Meanwhile, the people of Issele-Uku have promised positive collaboration do by reporting suspected crime to the police as long as the police would treat information with high level of confidentiality in the town.
