The Pension Fund Administrators in Delta State have assured staff of University of Delta, Agbor, of adequate management of their pensions to ensure easy access.
The leader of the Pal Pension Limited team, Mr. Jude Obinna Mgbeme, gave the assurance during an interactive session between the Pension Fund Administrators and the staff of University of Delta, Agbor.
Mr. Mgbeme said his team would continue to ensure that every staff had access to knowing the status of their pensions by making sure that all relevant information were well documented and updated by staff.
He admitted the frustration encountered by some staff, especially the retirees while accessing pensions and gratuities after retirement and maintained that such delay and anomalies would be looked into and corrected.
The heads of other Pension Fund Administrators, Mr. Paulinus Chikwelu, Trust Fund Pension, Akiekie Churchill, Leadway Pension and Jude Akwarandu, Access ARM Pension responded to questions presented by staff and made clarifications on some areas of concern.
Earlier in her welcome address, the Vice Chancellor Prof. Stella Chiemeke stated that she was delighted to have the Pension Administrators in the Institution for interactive session with staff on pension matters.
She disclosed that the welfare of the University ha been one aspect that the University Management placed high premium, noting that UNIDEL had never relented in any matter affecting the welfare and motivation of staff.
She added that all pension fund of staff had always been remitted as at when due by the University in order to guarantee happy and smooth retirement of her staff.
The Director of Pension, UNIDEL, Mr. Ngozi Oriahi thanked the University Management for creating the avenue for the interactive exercise and charged all staff to feel free to present their pension issues as his office was always ready to attend to them.
